Not exactly the day for ocean travel.

Looking back at St. Augustine.

You can see the change of current above.  For a long time, the ICW was chocolate brown, not unlike the canals in southern Chesapeake, VA.

St. Augustine Lighthouse

We are definitely with all of the Snowbirds now!

Want to buy an island?

For the most part, the ICW was quite scenic and remote.

Our first “East Coast” dolphin playing in our wake!

Boat Pix comes by now and then to take photos of boats; later boat owners receive invitations to buy the photos in the mail.

First view of Amelia Island; hotels and condos on oceanfront can be seen in background.

These are not just highway and railroad bridges; these are One September’s last bridges in Florida!

Once we got One September docked, we borrowed the marina’s truck and went to see the last few minutes of Fernandina Beach’s Shrimp Festival.  Fernandina is on Amelia Island.

Midday the sun came out, making the scenery beautiful.
