Deanna & Dick drove us to the Vero Beach ocean front for lunch at Mulligan’s: Great lunch and ‘fish & chips!’  Only the kite surfer was enjoying the windy weather.

Lots of shops along the ocean front.

Deanna & Dick drove us back to Ft. Pierce for the Farmers Market there.

Evidently, the Ft. Pierce Marina was devastated recently by a hurricane.  The city is now building islands as protection and  placing new docks.

Vero Beach to Melbourne

April 20, Saturday

Vero Beach

The Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club burgee now flies proudly at the Vero Beach Yacht Club!  Our Cavalier Club membership gained us entry for a delightful dinner.

Not the prettiest of days, with skies threatening.

These were going to be nice buildings, but probably the builder ran out of money!

Dive boat high and dry.

Approaching Melbourne...

...But had to circumnavigate a sailboat race.  There were about 20 sailboats, not in the picture.

Walked to town; the underpasses are painted colorfully here!

Scenes of Melbourne.

Flatiron Building

Who remembers the Nash?

Lucy Ann and Rick live near by, and came by to visit.

We went to dinner to the Mansion:  Good food!

If you look back at our Miami Beach pictures, you will find a resemblance between Lucy Ann and Kathleen; that’s because they are sisters!

Painted on the side of a building.
